Job Description | Are We a Match?
Do you have experience in programming in one or more standard languages, such as Golang, C++, and Java; and do you understand distributed systems and algorithms? Below are the key skills and experience across various disciplines that we are seeking in a candidate.
Data Pipeline and Analytics
- Data pipeline technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, FluentD, Prometheus, Open Telemetry, etc.
- Big data storage/processing technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Storm, Flink, Beam, Druid, Pinoit, Clickhouse, InfluxDB, TimeseriesDB, etc.
- Basic tasks in ML—Data cleansing, feature extraction, feature reduction, supervised and unsupervised learning, cross validation, and analysis.
- Data analytics algorithms such as regression, decision trees, SVM, neural nets, deep learning, etc.
Working with Cloud Service Providers
- Engaging with one or more cloud service providers (CSPs) such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Configuring cloud resources with a scripting interface such as Terraform.
- Understanding core abstractions provided by CSPs such as VPCs, IAM, and security groups.
Networking Systems and Security
- Understanding of the OSI/ISO network architecture.
- Familiarity with multiple protocols at various levels of the network stack.
- Experience with network or operating systems security such as TLS and basic access controls.

What’s Aviatrix’s Hiring Process Like?
If you meet the above criteria, in a couple weeks after the career fair, someone from Aviatrix will contact you to set up interviews. Here’s what you can expect in the interview process:
- Interview with hiring manager.
- Two or three technical interviews involving coding and technical design questions.
