At AWS re:Invent 2024, Aviatrix joined thousands of cloud networking heroes to share industry news, insider tips, and war stories of keeping networks live and secure. The floor buzzed with discussions about the difficulties of cloud security, the best use of AI, and how to meet a seemingly infinite number of goals with a finite budget.
The Aviatrix team jumped into the conversation with breakout and theater sessions on cutting-edge practical GenAI strategies and cloud firewall best practices. Our booth was packed with attendees who came for demos of our solutions to critical networking challenges, a wide array of theater presentations, a very popular claw game, and a Lego raffle. We finished with a Topgolf reception with a “Party like it’s Y2K!”theme featuring retro vibes and a lot of network drama nostalgia.
Technical Marketing Engineer Tim McConnaughy held a breakout session, “RAG and route: Enhancing networks to support Amazon Bedrock.” He discussed how you can unlock the potential of GenAI on Amazon Bedrock and leverage your data wherever it leaves. Tim also demonstrated how Aviatrix can help support elements of RAG solutions that may exist on-premises, in any cloud, or all of the above.
Chris McHenry, Aviatrix SVP of Product Management, gave a theater session on “Protecting island VPCs: Agentless security for shadow cloud.” Chris explored the issue of isolated VPCs that can get by centralized security controls and leave your network vulnerable to data breaches, attacks, and compliance violations. He then demonstrated how Aviatrix’s Cloud Firewall solution can secure, simplify, and streamline an environment with this issue.
