John Qian
John is the Chief Information Security Officer at Aviatrix. Previously, John served as the Head of Security Architecture at Zoom, where he was responsible for overseeing the security posture of Zoom products and features, cloud environments, and sensitive IT applications. Over four years, his team developed one of the industry’s most mature security programs while effectively supporting Zoom’s dramatic business growth during the pandemic.
Before joining Zoom, John was a Principal Engineer at Cisco Systems, where he initiated the company’s product security program by defining and implementing Cisco’s secure development lifecycle—a process widely adopted by engineering organizations to develop secure and resilient products. In addition to his role in product security, he made significant contributions to the development of security products and network security management solutions, enabling large enterprises and service providers to enforce security policies across a diverse set of network devices.
He resides in San Diego with his wife and two sons. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, gardening, cooking, and sailing.
